The book alone would be worth buying, but the real gem is what's tucked inside the back cover: a 14-song CD that will be enjoyed not just by the kids, but by their parents and grandparents as well.The songs, lesser-known lullabies written by well-known contemporary songwriters, are performed by top musicians of Red House Records. Selected this as a gift and I probably like it more than the parents who received it...but, that's ok. It's a sweet little story for a child old enough not to tear at the pages and it comes with a really fine CD...a collection of original songs by some great artists. Highly recommend!
I'm not sure why I hadn't heard of this CD before. It is really amazing. It's got a nice mellow folksy style with beautiful voices, wonderful lyrics. It's a great CD for bed or just listening to. Highly recommended.
We pop this in at bedtime or when traveling in the car at night. Works like a charm.Lyrics and melodies are simply beautiful.
